There’s a fantastic app called “Onavo” that compresses/”shrinks” your data. Bonus is that is makes pretty little graphs and tells you statistics on what type of media and which apps you use the most data through, It’s free and I highly recommend it!
I got the same message last month. I called customer service, quite indignant, and had them look up my account history. There was a swift apology. 10 years with them apparently buys you… well, nothing.
