Occupy: A Web Documentary Project. This is an update on the web documentary project being run here on The Political Notebook to gather up primary sources (largely photographic) of Occupy gatherings and rallies, collecting the experiences of and documentations made by people who have taken part in the movement.
So far I’ve had a lovely number of submissions (and some more just this morning to be put up soon) from all over, spanning the coasts of the US and even jumping across the Atlantic to include a submission from Occupy Bristol. Click through on the map above for a bigger, interactive flash version from which you can access all the submissions.
Please consider submitting your own photos and experiences to this! This project is broad, which means if you have pictures of protesters, protest signs, protest art or your own story to tell from rallies anywhere across the world, I’ll be happy to consider them for publication. The only requirements are that they have to be from movements that overtly identify themselves as Occupy movements and they have to be your own original photos not someone else’s.
As usual, you can email your submission to me at torierosedeghett@gmail.com. You can also get in touch with me with inquiries or feedback about this project using Tumblr’s ask box function or on Twitter.
