This is Justice. He’s currently at a high kill shelter in Florida, and is going to be put to sleep VERY SOON if he does not get a foster. If ANYONE in Florida is willing to foster him, I will do everything in my power to get him to you. Fostering is free, all vet bills would be paid for by Passionate Pet Rescue, which is the group trying to get him pulled from the high-kill shelter. All they need is a foster.
As of about 15 minutes ago, it looks like Justice has a foster willing to take him in. I’m still waiting on confirmation that he has indeed been pulled from death row before I get too excited, but I’m hopeful that it will go through. That’s not to say that thousands of other perfectly adoptable dogs and cats aren’t being euthanized every day, or that the cause of all of these homeless animals is in any way being addressed, but it’s still a deserving life saved from needless euthanasia and that’s worth celebrating.
I urge anyone who feels for this specific cause to try being a foster. I’m doing it and it’s a great feeling knowing you’re saving a life. But if you can’t foster, donate to local shelters so that they have the resources they need to continue rescuing and caring for abandoned, injured, sick, malnourished animals. The work they do is noble yet often thankless, but every dollar helps.
