What the 99% Movement is really against is liars, and what I think the rest of the country doesn’t understand is that we (ALL of us, everyone in this country) is involved in an abusive relationship with capitalism. And people just keep going back to it, over and over, and getting hurt, but keep blaming it on themselves for getting so hurt by free market capitalism.
This whole ordeal is ultimately about bullies (such an archaic metaphor but so, so very apt for this situation) and the acquisition and retention of power. Those who fear the bullies the most have the most to lose and still cling to the idea that the bully will win due to sheer dominance. After all, these people have worked hard to be where they are! They’re successful because they’ve ‘won’ and are simply ‘better’ than us, right? Just like the Kardashians. Those who ‘win’ are ‘better’. They say the cream rises to the top, right? Well, I’ve got news for you.
Shit floats.
