Okay, two things:

1. Can I tell you guys how happy I am that this fish is on the “green” (READ: sustainable) part of the Seafood Watch app? It’s so phenomenally ocean tasting. Mackerel, in my book, is top notch.

2. If you are a seafood or sushi eater and NOT using Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch app, you’re really doing the iPhone wrong. Download it now. Do the world a simple favor and stop adding to the demand of unsustainable fisheries. It’s so easy to use its a joke if you’re not making full use of it.

The people over there are doing good work. They’ve made it easy for you to make informed decisions about the impact you have on our oceans. Now all you have to do is use it…
